We can now reveal that the Scott Bell benefit match on Saturday 5th May will be between a Spartans XI and Bedlington XI with many of Scott’s team mates and guests making an appearance, with the Spartans team being managed on the day by Harry Dunn.
Admission will be £2 & £1, with under 10’s admitted free if accompanied by an adult. All monies collected on the day will be presented to the Scott Bell fund for research into MND.
General Manager Ian Evans said “It was no problem in getting the Spartans team together as every player contacted wishes to help Scott in any way that they can”. “It should be quite a reunion” he added.
Spectators will be able to purchase a raffle ticket at 25p per ticket for a chance to win the day’s match ball, which will be signed by the participating players. There will also be runners up prizes of match tickets for both Spartans and Terriers matches for next season.
The match will kick off at 2pm. From 12 noon to 5pm there will be a kiddies’s fair inside Croft Park where hot refreshments will be sold all day.
At 5.15 the FA Cup final will be shown live on the big screen in the social club which will also be open from 12 noon onwards.
In addition you will have the last opportunity to bid for many of the auction items on offer.
