Blyth Spartans Reserves made it four wins from four in the Team Valley Carpets Northern Alliance Division Two with an emphatic 10-0 win over Spittal Rovers.
Striker Karl Lazzari – who had scored five goals in three games prior to last night’s game – doubled his tally for the season with a breathtaking display of finishing that included a two-minute hat-trick late in the second half.
The side featured Adam Wrightson and Damen Mullen in the starting lineup, with the former bagging two goals – taking his season tally in the reserve side to three.
Andrew Murray also netted a brace, with Liam Wotherspoon scoring the other. Spartans sit top of the Division Two table with a +21 goal difference. Next up for the second string is a trip to Seghill next Wednesday for a 6.15pm Kick-Off.
