WHAT WE’RE SAYING
Speaking after the 1-0 win against Curzon Ashton, manager Terry Mitchell said: “The next game happens to be a cup final, so without a doubt, it will be going there to enjoy playing at St James Park.
“It’s a fantastic stadium, but we go there with the same mentality as every game as we want to win and it’s a great occasion for the fans since it’s a cup final.”
LAST TIME WE MET
The sides faced each other at the start of pre-season in August as Blyth put three past Newcastle United Under 23’s, as Robbie Dale, Dan Maguire and Lewis McNall all scored.
However, last time out in the Senior Cup, the teams met in the quarter-finals, where the Magpies beat Spartans 7-2 in February 2019.
