In a month that started off poorly for the Spartans with two defeats, but ended strongly with three wins, the stand out player was striker John Alexander.
‘The Bull’ has had a frustrating time in front of goal since his arrival at the Spartans, but his commitment to the cause and effort has never been in question. His hold-up play has improved recently and this has provided the team with a platform from which to build their attacks.
His good play was rewarded in the final game of the month, as he notched his season opener with a sublime goal away to Corby Town
