Blyth Spartans can announce that left back Phil Cave is the latest player to put pen to paper on a new deal for the upcoming campaign.
The defender signed from Gateshead at the start of the previous season and was an integral part of the success that the Spartans enjoyed, particularly in the middle section of the season.
Manager Steve Cuggy commented “It’s great that Phil has agreed to stay as he is a quality left back. He is good friends with new signing Wayne Phillips and has experience of lining up in the same side as Wayne, so hopefully they’ll continue the good form they showed together for the Spartans.
“It is also good for continuity as Phil was here last season and knows all about the club and the league.”
