Non-League Day at Croft Park – Update

Blyth Spartans will take part in “National Non League Day” when Grantham Town come to Croft Park for an Evo-Stik Northern Premier League fixture this Saturday. The annual event will see a whole host of clubs across the country celebrating and promoting all that is great about the Non-League game and Spartans have planned a number of events and activities going on during the day.

They are as follows:

– The winners of the free prize draw held at last Saturday’s home fixture with Matlock Town will be given Sponsors Lounge tickets for the game

– A selection of Spartans legends have been invited as guests of the club to the game and will be presented on the pitch before the game kicks off

– We are celebrating the club’s community work with two very special young mascots Cory Davison and Callum Brown leading the team out onto the pitch

– Blyth Spartans AFC Under 12s will provide half time entertainment with a small sided match on the pitch

– Spartans supporter Ken Sproat will be in the Social Club before and after the match to showcase his new book “We’re the famous Blyth Spartans”, a comprehensive history of the club and the characters who have moulded our history

– Radio Northumberland will be broadcasting live from Croft Park from 1pm talking to supporters and people around the club about what makes non-league football special. They will once again be provided live coverage of the game from 2.30pm with build up and uninterrupted coverage of the match with the Station’s Head of Sport Jonny Hall and Spartans Senior Press Officer Mark Carruthers

– Every paying entrant to the game(season tickets holders, full priced entry and concessions all inclusive) will be given a free draw ticket upon entry. The prize will be a brand new Blyth Spartans home shirt of the winners choice in size donated by our main sponsors Quantum Elite. There will also be the chance to have this signed by the players and coaching staff as well.

– The usual half time prize draw will take place as normal but the winner gets an additional prize of a signed Spartans home shirt as well as the usual cash prize

– The game is being designated as a “Green and White Day” whereby the club encourage supporters to bring flags, banners and to wear green and white on the day

– A special “Non-League Day” edition of our Matchday Programme has been produced featuring pieces written about the day, you can pick up a programme for £2.00 from the Supporters Club inside Croft Park

Match tickets are priced at
Adults – £10.00 (£1.00 extra in ‘Port of Blyth’ Stand)
Concessions – £5.00 (£1.00 extra in ‘Port of Blyth’ Stand)
Under 10’s – Free if accompanied by an adult (£0.50 extra in ‘Port of Blyth’ Stand)
