In return, season ticket holders of Ashington and North Shields will – when their respective clubs are away from home – to enter a National League North game at Croft Park for a concessional price.

Stuart Dick, Blyth Spartans Media Manager

“We approached clubs in our area in recent weeks to discuss the possibility of working together to boost attendances and support for the sides in the South East Northumberland area.

“The pilot scheme gives season ticket holders of all clubs an added bonus to their ticket deals, should they wish to go watch football on a Saturday afternoon when their club is out of the area – and supporting grassroots football in the North East.”

Brian Shotton, Ashington Chairman

“I’m delighted to be working in partnership with Blyth Spartans to offer season ticket holders of both clubs a reciprocal opportunity to attend each other’s games for a reduced entry fee.

“It is vital to support grassroots football in the area and I would encourage fans to make use of this where they can.

“I look forward to welcoming Blyth Spartans fans to Woodhorn Lane in the near future.”

Sean Redford, North Shields Secretary

“North Shields FC were approached by Blyth Spartans regarding a season ticket deal for supporters from both clubs. We are delighted to be working with Blyth Spartans in what will hopefully be a long relationship.

“The hope is that we welcome some Spartans fan’s along to North Shields FC when they are unable to travel away, but also that they welcome some North Shields supporters to home games when they are not able to make away games.”
