TEAM NEWS
The first of Blyth’s double header of title chasing six pointers takes us to Cheshire to face free-scoring Nantwich Town. Salford City visit Croft Park next Tuesday.

The Dabbers have been ever present near the top of the table with Spartans since the start of the season. Having played three more games than us and the other surrounding teams, they’ll be hoping to pick up points so they can stay alongside the leading pack.

Spartans played against Forest Hall in a friendly at Croft Park on Tuesday night, coming out 8-0 winners. It was a chance for supporters to see new signing Wilson Kneeshaw in action, with the forward showing great signs of becoming a key player in the remainder of the season. Ash Davis got some good time out on the field, not something he has managed of late and also showed good signs of becoming match sharp. With Dan Maguire out and Sean Reid doubtful, the attacking line will be shuffled around on Saturday to accommodate the players available to Tom and Lee.

A win for Blyth could see us move up to 57 points, with Salford City at home on Tuesday night (26th January), any points away to Nantwich would be most welcome.
