Media update | New Media Manager announced

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce the appointment of Matty Rayson as the club’s new Media Manager, with Jake Emery being appointed as Assistant Media Manager.

Matty, who is new to the Blyth Spartans set up, brings a wealth of media knowledge and experience to the role, and Jake, who has written match reports for Spartans before, has a vast knowledge of the non league game from a sharp media eye.

Matty said, “I moved to Blyth 2 years ago and fell in love with the club, going to matches whenever I could! Very happy to come on board as Media Manager and continue the amazing work my predecessors have done.”

Jake said, “It’s a privilege to be joining a fantastic club like Blyth Spartans in the role of assistant media manager as I move back closer to home following my time studying Multimedia Sports Journalism in Manchester alongside working for Ashton United as well as differing outlets.

“With National League North status secured, it promises to be an exciting season ahead and I can’t wait to get started on continuing and contributing towards the brilliant output which has reflected Blyth Spartans over the years.”

The club would of course like to thank Stephen Burton and Niall Bromley for their hard work and dedication that they have shown the club during their time here, and we wish them both all the best for the future.

We also thank all those who have expressed an interest in the media vacancies. Matty and Jake look to appoint their media team in the coming weeks.
