Spartans’ midfielder Matty Wade has decided to leave the club and join South Shields.
Manager Tom Wade commented: ” Matthew has shown huge character in the three seasons he has been at Blyth turning into a vital member of the squad. Being named as an England C standby payer says a lot too.
“To lose a player of his age and quality is a travesty. I think we all know the reasons, so I won’t go over them again, but I must say I don’t know of any player I have ever worked within my management career who would have kept on pulling on the shirt and putting in 100% every game while knowing he would still get what he did.
” I know he was proud to play for his home town club and will thank the true supporters who stuck by him.”
Best of luck for the future Matty and thank you for all your efforts for the Spartans.
