TEAM NEWS
Tonight’s re-arranged fixture see’s Spartans travel down to Matlock for their 4 consecutive away game. After Saturdays 0-0 at Rushall, Tom Wade and the rest of the squad will be hoping for a game with more chances to get the three points we desperately require to continue our fight for the play off’s. A win tonight can see Spartans move 4 points away from Ashton in the last play off spot, with an additional game in hand.

Rushall’s pitch was not exactly what you could call perfect and the hard ground has wore tiredness into the squad so Wade may have to shuffle the pack to keep fitness at the best level possible. Blyth can look forward to the trip as they are without defeat in March and have only conceded 3 goals in the past 6 league fixtures. Hopefully tonight we can build on our form and really push the teams above us to pressure them for that 5th place.
