TEAM NEWS

Blyth make the short trip to Morpeth on Wednesday night looking to secure their place in the Techflow Group Northumberland Senior Cup Final.

The Spartans reached the semi-final stage as they triumphed against Bedlington Terriers in the previous round. Jordan Laidler put Blyth ahead when his curling effort deceived the ‘keeper. Greg Rutherford grabbed a brace in-between a fantastic free-kick from Robbie Dale as it finished 4-0.

Morpeth saw off the challenge of North Shields to progress to this stage. Keith Graydon, Liam Henderson and Michael Turner grabbed the goals for the Highwaymen.

Both sides are on contrasting runs of form with Spartans having taken 4 points from their last 5 games whilst, the Highwaymen have taken a maximum return of 15 points from their last 5.
