TEAM NEWS

Blyth make another long journey as they travel to Worcestershire to face Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday looking to continue their impressive league form.

The Spartans were defeated in the FA Cup on Saturday as they lost to Shaw Lane. The game was hanging in the balance until Shaw Lane grabbed a 96th minute winner. Paul Clayton put Shaw Lane ahead before Adam Wrightson equalised. Damien Reeves was able to bag the winner after a defensive mix-up.

Kidderminster Harriers were also in FA Cup action and won 4-2 at Depping Rangers to set up a tie against Newcastle Benfield. Andre Brown fired the Harriers ahead before a brace from Emmanuel Sonupe put them 3-0 up at the break. Andre Wright then grabbed the 4th in the second half either side of consolation efforts by Depping Rangers.

A win for the Spartans would put them potentially into 3rd position and only two points off the top of the table.
