TEAM NEWS
The title being awarded to Darlington 1883 on Thursday night resulted in Spartans sealing 2nd in the league and the home advantage in the playoff semi final, which will be held against any of three teams on Tuesday night at Croft Park. Today’s fixture last season was similar, with both teams in similar league positions, with the visitors (Marine) leaving Blyth win a solid 2-1 win, resulting in them staying in the division on the final day. That result also meant Blyth would miss out on the playoffs.

Tom Wade has stated that he would mix the squad around slightly to keep freshness for the playoff tie. Arran Wearmouth missed Tuesday’s home tie to Rushall due to the knock he picked up at Matlock the previous Saturday. Nathan Buddle managed to shake off his injury and played the full 90 minutes. Robbie Dale made his 500th appearance in a green and white shirt on Tuesday, and he will be looking to cap the season off with a solid performance, then leading his team into next week’s eagerly anticipated knockout match.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Sean Hessey – Player/Manager – ex Liverpool, Leeds United, Blackpool & Chester City player.

DANGER MAN
Daniel Mitchley – has scored 22 league goals for Marine this season, greatly helpful for them to remain in the division.
