TEAM NEWS
Blyth go into tonights game on the back of a hard thought victory over Rushall Olympic on the weekend, lifting Spartans up to 72 points. With only 14 games to go, the phrase of “every game is a cup final” is starting to creep into more conversations around the club as the business end of a successful season draw in. A 3-2 away win back in December saw Blyth take all 3 points at Westfield Lane, with goals coming from Dan Maguire, Robbie Dale and Sean Reid.

Other results over the weekend kept the positions equal going into the last games of February, with us still only looking over our shoulders and leading a pack of strong teams, all Spartans can do is concentrate on the 90 minutes in-front and see where it gets us come May. Dan Maguire made is overdue return from the injury list after coming on for 20 minutes at Rushall. Wilson Kneeshaw was taken off with a niggle so may be monitored before selection tonight. If history is to repeat itself, games with Frickely are of the entertaining kind and we could be in for a treat tonight.
