TEAM NEWS

OnTuesday, the Spartans face their fourth home game in a week when Curzon Ashton make the trip to Northumberland.

Blyth suffered an unlucky defeat to Stockport County on Saturday going down 1-0 to Jimmy Ball’s strike in added time at the end of the first half. Despite the game being one way traffic in the second half Blyth couldn’t find a deserved equaliser.

Curzon Ashton were in action on Saturday and sealed their place in the Vanarama National League North for next season with a workmanlike performance against playoff hopefuls Spennymoor Town. Joe Guest scored the only goal of the game nodding home Ben Mckenna’s cross.
