TEAM NEWS
Blyth Spartans go in search of an 11th straight league victory – as they face relegation-threatened Corby Town on Saturday. Corby are one of only five teams to have inflicted an Evo-Stik Premier League defeat on Spartans this season – as the Steelmen recorded a 4-3 success back in September.

Alun Armstrong’s side made progress in the Northumberland Senior Cup midweek after seeing off a spirited Blyth Town. A brace from Dan Maguire and single efforts from Ryan Hutchinson, Sean Reid and Adam Wrightson saw Spartans record a 5-2 victory.

Corby have been in resurgent form recently, with four wins from their last five games – as they look to pull further away from the relegation zone. The Steelmen produced a stirring performance to grab a point at promotion-chasing Nantwich Town last weekend.

Armstrong made six changes for the tie midweek and the players who were rested may be recalled for the game on Saturday.
