TEAM NEWS
With this being the season opener, there could be debuts handed to Nathan Buddle, Arjun Purewal, Danny Parker, Stephen Tobin, Ryan Cummings, Dean Holmes, Matthew Wade, Robert Nolan, Adam Garrity and the two recent signing of Aaron Wearmouth and Gareth Ayres down in Liverpool. All the lads will be doing their best to travel back up North with three points in the bag in what is to be a tough test.

MATCH PREVIEW
Blyth Spartans will be hoping for a better result from the last time they visited The Arriva Stadium after last seasons 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Mariners. The goal scorer in that game for Spartans, Marcus Maddison, who was released by Newcastle United mid way during last season, has recently joined rivals Gateshead FC, who started their campaign off with 2 defeats.
