The club can announce that midfielder Josh Gillies has signed for Northern League side Whitley Bay.
The 19 year-old, signed from Newcastle Blue Star made his debut for the Spartans against Redditch United in the middle of August and scored his first goal for Blyth a week later finishing off a sweeping move against Corby Town to give Blyth an early lead.
He joins a side, managed by former Spartans striker Ian Chandler, currently sitting third in the Northern League, are in the final of the TyneTec Northumberland Senior Cup (where Gillies will be cup tied having featured for the Spartans against Morpeth Town in an earlier round), but probably most important to the player when making his decision to move on, the Bay are also in the semi-final of the FA Vase, with the possibility of a run out at Wembley looming.
