MAN OF THE MATCH
Glen Taylor
A dubious honour to win on what was a very poor night for the Spartans, second half substitute Glen Taylor provided a semblence of a link between an isolated attack and an overworked, under performing midfield that sat too deep in the first half. His hold up play gave Blyth a platform from which to build their attacks.
Whilst genuine goalscoring opportunities for Blyth were at a premium, at least Taylor gave the Guiseley rear guard something to think about and will have given manager Steve Cuggy some food for thought when selecting Saturday’s starting XI.
