TEAM NEWS
Blyth will be looking to bounce back after their first defeat of the season on Saturday with the away trip down to face West Yorkshires Frickley Athletic. Spartans will be waiting on the injury of Matthew Wade after he was forced off with a facial injury against Matlock and received medical treatment at the ground. They will also be hoping that winger Dean Holmes will be back in the squad after missing the past few games with a tight hamstring.

With Blyth still holding the fact of being unbeaten on the road, they will be travelling to what will be a good test in the form of Frickley, who last season boasted a more than decent home form, which more than likely kept them away from the drop. With 5 games past, each fixture has seen a penalty given to Spartans, in which 3 have been converted by Captain Kendrick, but the most recent either at the keeper or off the crossbar. He is Blyth’s top goal scorer with 4 goals.

MATCH PREVIEW
In Frickey’s last fixture, they held a decent Chorley side to a 0-0 draw at home and will be hoping to keep the Spartans from scoring, in which they have 8 to our name, half being from Joe Kendrick.

Frickey have scored 10 goals in 5 games but have conceded one more than their total, seeing that a possible chance for Blyth to get some names on the score sheet, whilst requiring to be staying sharp at the back.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Carl Rose – Ex Goole AFC, Scarborough, Leigh RMI, Tamworth, Worksop Town, Garforth Town, Rochdale, Barnsley

DANGER MAN
Gavin Allot – scored a hat-rick against Rushall and one in the opening day 6-4 defeat to Stamford
