After Monday’s release of the first ever Spartans podcast the show has hit a landmark today as it passed the 150 listens mark. Hosted by Radio Northumberland’s Head of Sport Jonny Hall and Spartans Press Officer Mark Carruthers the first release has been popular amongst Spartans supporters and has received some excellent feedback.

The podcast, produced in association with Radio Northumberland also features as a radio show on the station and was given it’s first airing at 6.30pm last night.

Carruthers said “Since I joined the club in June the one thing that has struck me is that there are Spartans supporters all around the country and the world. I’ve seen this through twitter and seeing them turn up at matches to get behind the lads. The podcast is a great way to bring the club a little closer to them and allow us to give a little bit more of an insight of the club to Spartans supporters everywhere. The content and level of the positive feedback has been superb and both myself and Jonny will strive to improve with every new show.”

If you still haven’t had a chance to listen to the first podcast it can be found on the club’s SoundCloud account here.

If you wish to take part in a future podcast or let Mark and Jonny know of anything you would like to here in future then email them at BSAFCPodcast@gmail.com.
