MAN OF THE MATCH

Phil Cave

In a left wing-back role as part of Blyth’s 3-5-2 formation Cave looked assured in his defensive duties and excelled in the second-half when he had more opportunities to attack. Cave posed Blyth’s biggest threat going forward in the second half.

He came close to breaking the deadlock on two occasions. Firstly from a wide position he hit a cross-shot which was well saved by Eastwood goalkeeper Jake Want and then had an effort cleared off the line by defender Craig Armstrong.
