As has been mentioned previously a team of cyclists will set off from Dublin in May, with the aim being to cycle their way to Croft Park, via several football grounds, to attend the Scott Bell Benefit Game at Croft Park on 5 May 2012.
Two former Spartans, who were teammates of Scotty’s in the treble winning side, Dale Crawford and Peter Snowdon have agreed to join in on the challenge and they will be joined by Robert Dale and Gareth Williams on the trip, if Whitley Bay have no impending FA Vase commitments (the final of the FA Vase is the weekend after).
