Dublin to Blyth – Scott Bell Fund Cycle

Scott BellOn Tuesday 1st May 2012, 6 cyclists will begin a huge journey from Dublin to Blyth in only 4 days! The route is a whopping 329 miles (minus 52 that will be on the ferry!) Two more will join the team in Stranraer for the remaining 168 miles and one other will join in Carlisle and their hope is to make it to Blyth on 5th May in time for the 2pm kick off at Croft Park for the Blyth Spartans benefit match. The confirmed cyclists so far are;

Fergus Dowd, Colin McGuirk, Stephen Salmon, Karl Byrne, Michael Cody and Damien Lynskey. Robert Shanks and Neil Welch will be joining them from Stranraer to Blyth and Kevin Little will join up from Carlisle.

The lads are hoping to be joined by a few more team mates and there are a few more lads making up their minds so hopefully they will join up with them.

Details of how to sponsor the lads will appear here shortly, as will other events being organised to raise funds.
