Two FA Cup Heroes turned out at Croft Park for the official presentation of the U9s new strip. The strip was purchased through a donation made by Warburtons and Spartans legend Ian Mutrie, who now works for the bakers, was on hand for the presentation. Spartans U9s at the NFA Charter Standard Super Festival

Sunday 3rd May, saw the U9s at Corbridge playing in the NFA Charter Standard Super Festival. This was a “non-competitive” tournament with prizes given to teams based upon fair play and the support of the FA Respect campaign.  Although scores were not kept and results did not count, in the round robin matches we won five matches  and drew our sixth.  However, in an extra match that was added as the festival…

He had plenty of space and time to turn and…

Spartans U9s 1 Forest Hall Reds 1 – Match Report

The rematch with Forest Hall Reds turned out to be a scrappy game.  Forest Hall Reds opened the scoring when a ball from their defence down the wing was then crossed into the box.  We thought it was a cross, but it headed towards goal and over the top of Daniel Brown who could do nothing about it. We were the team putting a lot of pressure on the Forest…
