Slaughter Moves On

The club can announce that Richie Slaughter has decided to join former manager Steve Cuggy at Newcastle Benfield. Slaughter signed from Consett last summer and went on to play 38 times for the Spartans in a variety positions. Cassidy appoints Paddy Atkinson as new Coach

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce that Manager Tommy Cassidy has acted quickly by appointing Paddy Atkinson as the new team coach. Paddy’s career in football started as a youth at Sheffield United in 1987. His senior career started when he moved to Hartlepool in 1988. As well as playing for Blyth Spartans in 2000 he also made 40 appearances for York City and 64 for Queen of the South.
