Blyth Spartans pre-season planning has been given a major boost with the news that midfielder Michael Richardson has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club. Lynch joins Durham City

The club can confirm that attacking midfielder Craig Lynch has left the club to join Durham City AFC. The 23-year-old joined the Spartans from Spennymoor Town towards the end of last season and went on to make 7 appearances in a Blyth shirt, 6 of those coming from the bench and he scored twice.
