Following the under-19s’ success in winning the National League Youth Alliance North Academy Division last season, the Club was dealt a blow in the close season when their coach, Liviu Cristea, had to resign from his position with the Club.
To celebrate the hard work of our staff and volunteers at Blyth Spartans, this new series gives the dedicated individuals of our football club a platform to talk about their roles. Phil Castiaux spoke to Club Physio Oscar Peverley about recently joining the club, graduating from university, and how he got his position at Blyth Spartans.

In a change of action this week, Blyth Spartans enter the Emirates FA Cup in the second qualifying round as they host Bradford (Park Avenue) at Croft Park on Saturday.
Playwright Ed Waugh, whose work includes the self-penned national hits Wor Bella, Carrying David and Hadaway Harry as well as the co-written international hits Dirty Dusting and Waiting For Gateaux, will be talking about his two decades in the theatre world at Blyth Library on Monday 9th October at 6pm.
There are hospitality places available for Spartans’ next home fixture which is the second qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup against Bradford (Park Avenue) on Saturday, 16th September.
