TEAM NEWS
It’s been three wins in a row for Spartans as we look to extend our lead at the top of the league, before the likes of Salford and Darlington 1883 play their games in hand, putting potential pressure on our position. We welcome Stourbridge to Croft Park, a team which inflicted our heaviest defeat of the campaign so far, coming out 3-0 winners back in September. They currently sit 11th in the table but have only played 18 games, due to success in the FA Trophy and more noticeably the FA Cup.

Stephen Turnbull and Damon Mullen were missing in our mid week tie at Frickley Athletic, forcing Tom Wade into a couple alterations. They will be hoping to get their positions back. Andrew Cartwright received a first half red card in South Elmsall but his suspension won’t kick in until the Boxing Day match at Workington so he will be available on Saturday. Sean Reid now has three goals in two games; form which will see him hopefully raring to go come 3pm on Saturday at Croft Park.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Gary Hackett – ex player for Shrewsbury, Aberdeen, Stoke City, West Brom, Peterborough and Chester City. Been manager of Stourbridge since 2003. Took his team to the FA Cup 2nd Round, where they were beaten 2-0 at home to Eastleigh of The National League.

DANGER MAN
Karl Hawley – Stourbridge’s top goalscorer with 12 league goals, but last scored (twice) against Marine, 21st November.
