Spartans welcome Frickley to Croft Park this weekend, for their first meeting since Blyth pipped Athletic to the 2005/06 Unibond Premier League title.
Harry Dunn’s side beat Frickley 1-0 at home that season, on their way to winning the league by three points – in addition to prevailing on penalties at Westfield Lane, in the Unibond Chairman’s Cup Semi-final.
And Spartans will hope to better their 18th-placed opponents once again, when the two sides meet on Saturday afternoon (Kick-off 3pm.)
