Blyth Spartans can announce the signing of goalkeeper Jake Cunningham.
The 19 year old ‘keeper has been with Spartans since his release by Clydesdale Bank Premier Division Side St. Mirren and has been highly impressive in his pre-season displays to date.
In his earlier days the Newcastle-based ‘keeper was in the development squad at Newcastle United, where he was coached by former Spartan Adam Bartlett, who very highly rates the youngster, commenting that the youngster possessed all the attributes required to be a top class ‘keeper in the modern game.
