On what was a good night generally for the Spartans and was a game which saw all of the Spartans players involved contribute in a positive fashion, for the second game in a row the Star Man has to go to Robert Dale.
Whilst he scored two goals – a brave header against an onrushing ‘keeper and a fine curled finish after Farrell’s initial effort had struck the post – the standout moment was the assist for Craig Farrell’s opening goal for the club. A pin-point defence splitting 60 yard ball with his left foot which allowed Farrell to draw the ‘keeper slightly out of position before slotting the ball home.
