Blyth Spartans 1-3 AFC Fylde (Match Photos)

A battling performance from Blyth was not enough to stop Spartans from recording their earliest FA Cup exit since 1993 – as AFC Fylde ran out 3-1 winners at Croft Park.

Matthew Wade’s first goal for the club was cancelled out by Danny McGoldrick before the break. Second-half strikes from Matt Blinkhorn and substitute Jamie Rainford then turned the tie in Fylde’s favour and Spartans were left to rue their missed chances.

Below are a selection of Glen Maxwell’s match photos from the defeat, which saw Spartans miss out on a spot in the next round of a competition that is synonymous with the club.
