Anth Lowther Charity Walk – North Shields to Blyth

Walk in honour of AnthNorth Shields footballer Anthony Lowther sadly passed away in January 2010 after a short illness. He was a Civil Servant and lived in Hadrian Park with his wife and baby son. He was a popular player throughout the local semi-professional scene and represented Life University USA, Atlanta Legends, Prudhoe Town, Tow Law Town, Blyth Spartans, Newcastle Benfield, Bedlington Terriers and finally North Shields.

In memory of Anthony a charity walk will take place between Ralph Gardner Park, North Shields (NE29 6UA) and Croft Park, Blyth Spartans starting at 9am prior to the match between the two clubs in Blyth on Sunday July 18th (2pm kick off). The walk will take the scenic coastal route via Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and Seaton Sluice and a “refreshment” stop at a local watering hole is anticipated mid walk. The walk is 10miles and should take just over 3 hours.

All are welcome to join in this event. Sponsor forms can be obtained by sending an email to charitywalk@northshieldsfc.co.uk.
