TEAM NEWS
Spartans will be looking to end the season on a high after recent results above us in the table affected our hopes of reaching the play offs. With the Northumberland Senior Cup final on the horizon, an important test awaits with a trip to high spending AFC Fylde tonight. The reverse fixture was only at the start of the previous month, was a well fought 1-1 draw was witnessed by all at Croft Park. The visitors, at the time, were classed at title contenders but also have fallen slightly towards the end of a long and tiring season.

Blyth do have to showcase a very good away record of late, by managing a stretch since Boxing Day 2013 without defeat on our travels. AFC Fylde played at Stockport’s ground on Sunday in the Doodson Sports Cup final, in which they won 1-0. Spartans will be hoping that their minds are not fully focused on the upcoming tie and will be looking to finish what has been a entertaining season. Dan Maguire and Nathan Buddle were placed on the bench at Nantwich, both carrying knocks which manager Tom Wade and the coaching staff will be monitoring closely.
