TEAM NEWS
As games get fewer and fewer they get more and more important. We look towards the weekend to regain the form we’ve had for the majority of games in this great season, that is in picking up vital three vital points. With last weekend’s hic-up over and gone now, everyone must focus on the following fixture and being the better team and winning the game.

Wednesday’s 6-0 win at Heaton Stannington as a great distraction from the league and allowed the players to get the feeling back of winning, something which should be great for confidence.

Dan Maguire found himself on the score sheet midweek, to much relief to all, if not mostly himself. He will be itching to get onto the field to contribute towards a win at the weekend. Matlock Town are not to be taken lightly; having already conquered Spartans in the FA Trophy back in November at their ground. Having gone down to a thumping from league title rivals Darlington 1883 5-0 last weekend, they’ll hope to bounce back, just like ourselves, hungry for points. The Gladiators find themselves 15th in the table, realistically safe from the drop. It is hoped that Matthew Wade is fit and in contention to play on Saturday.
